Deer and Elk Tree Stand Photographs

In my personal opinion, archery hunting from a tree stand is the best way in the world to hunt deer and elk. I prefer elk, but some of the bucks that I see when archery hunting for elk are simply amazing. It puzzles me great deal on why I don't see any deer during archery deer, but they suddenly show up after their hunt ends. hehehe.

The first tree stand is right on the edge of a tank. A great spot where I have shot two cows. The problem is that many people drive by this tank and that gets frustrating.

The second tree stand is in the thick cover of the woods at the top of a drainage. The ground is moist. There are large fingers of protected green grass to graze on during the day. The secluded water puddle is safe to drink from and the bulls love to roll in the mud. Last, but not least, the salt lick is irrestible and worth fighting over if you are not big enough to boast your own harem of cows.
